Lab Team Re-Inventories Long-Term Forest Plots at Fall Creek Falls State Park

Katie Kull organized a three-day lab field trip to Fall Creek Falls State Park to re-inventory three of our long-term forest dynamics plots up there. These plots were originally established in the park by George Ramseur as part of a TVA watershed study in 1976. We recruited undergraduate assistance from Zach Loehle '17, Lily Tidwell '17, and Henry Hamlett '20 and were joined by Callie Oldfield, who drove up from Athens. An amazing crew! Hard to believe we censused 3 hectares of forest in two days!
