State Acquires Two Major Forest Tracts Near Sewanee

Two botanically diverse forest tracts located south of Sewanee have been acquired as part of the state's conservation lands program:

These acquisitions help to further link together the already extensive network of conservation lands in the southern Cumberland Plateau. Acquisitions were made as a result of the efforts of several conservation organizations including: The Landtrust for Tennessee, The Conservation Fund and the Open Space Institute.
