Sarah Neumann and Students Join Research at Sinking Pond

Dr. Sarah McCarthy Neumann (C'99) returned to Sinking Pond this week with three of her students from Alma College to collaborate with us on our USGS funded project examining 20 years of forest change in this unique wetland at the Arnold Air Force Base. Sarah conducted her honors research with me in 1998-1999 on the overcup oak population in Sinking Pond and helped to establish our 2.3 hectare long-term forest dynamics plot when she was a graduate student at Rice University.
